Guernseyman, Phil Page is heading off to the Moroccan Sahara to compete in the Merzouga Rally. This is a 1,300km, 6-day off-road event where he will be navigating by paper roadbook and compass. To give something back to the Island of Guernsey, Phil has decided to support Les Bourgs Hospice, a local charity that provides care to patients suffering from life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones. All Bailiwick residents are able to go to the hospice for residential, respite and day care and there is no charge.
We thought that the rally itself sounded like a great experience but supporting a great Guernsey charity is even better.
To help Phil spread the word about what he is doing and keep people updated, Enrapture has set up a basic website for him. On the site, you will find details about the event, the bike he is using, photos from last year’s event, what can be expected from the event this year and regular updates on his progress whilst he is away. You’ll also be able to see how well the fundraising is going and of course… add a small donation of your own if you wish 🙂
Good Luck Phil!
